The loose ring snaffle has much more movement and play than a fixed ring or cheek bit. It discourages fixing, blocking and leaning on the bit. it also helps to encourage mouthing. The Waterford has a chain type mouthpiece wich has ball shaped links joined together. The bit of floppy and therefore is perfect for horses that grab or lean on the bit. The bit has several links allowing the pressure to be spread over the tongue and has not nutcracker action.
